Suka banget sama jawaban-jawaban Tulus di wawancara ini, apalagi jawaban tentang lagu Teman Hidup. 

MF : Tapi si Teman Hidup itu sendiri ada buat siapa gitu?

T : Teman hidup itu, jadi gw kan muslim, gw tuh percaya banget sama Qur’an, nah di Qur’an tuh kan di tulis gitu kan sama Tuhan, menurut gw di semua kitab pasti ada tentang jodoh, tentang pasangan, kan ditulis kalau manusia itu sudah diciptakan berpasang – pasangan dan kita akan merasa lebih tenang kalau ada di dekat pasangan kita. Karena gw percaya banget Qur’an itu adalah apa yang diucapkan oleh Tuhan.

Maka gw pengen menyampaikan sebuah optimisme, gw tuh ga suka ngeliat orang yang terlalu mengeluhkan kesendiriannya. Gw ga suka, gw ga suka orang kaya gitu. Jadi gw berusaha menyampaikan lewat lagu itu kalau sebenarnya kalau Tuhan udah ngomong gitu, yakin ga yakin, itu pasti benar. Jadi sebenarnya memang sudah ada seseorang buat lo.

Intinya lo ga akan pernah benar – benar sendiri sih. Jadi ya santai aja gitu. Ya itulah gw bikin lagu Teman Hidup itu, kenapa cara menyanyikannya seperti itu, kenapa musiknya seperti itu, karena ya gw pengen menyampaikan dengan cara seperti itu, kalau itu adalah sesuatu yang benar kalau lo ga pernah benar – benar sendiri. Yakin gw di setiap kitab pasti dijelasin ko, tentang manusia itu ada temannya. Manusia itu diturunin ga sendiri. Tergantung seberapa yakin lo. Dan gw berharap kalau orang denger lagu itu dia akan merasa yakin gitu, kalau memang ada ko orang buat lo.

Terus…ternyata tulus orangnya (katanya) gak romantis…

AHAHAHAHAHA I’M LAUGHING AND ALMOST SHIT MYSELF.

Paramore - Grow Up

I always see birthday as a blessing day.

The day where God proves to you that you have another year to reach your dream, another opportunity to be a better person than before, and also a reflection on how you see and appreciate your life that was given back then.

But really, I expected nothing on my birthday this year. Most of my friends are now separated, living their own life, and I’m getting so, so busy with my music project that makes me hard just to say hello or sending message to them. it is nearly impossible to catching up; finding the right time to meet up and sitting comfortably in a cafe laughing and chatting about our activities. Since I’m the first one who stepped off from all of these bonds, as the time goes by, I realized that I can’t ‘join the team’ anymore. Yes, we’re still friends, I don’t hate them, but the feeling is way too much different.

So, when I received these bunch of things from some people, I can’t held my happy tears. I was so startled on how they show their care. To tell the truth, some of them are not even someone I know well.

Anyway, there’s a story behind this ‘B and S’ nickname, It is taken from two best friends of Gossip Girl TV series, which we both love so much. She’s someone who always be there from my brightest until darkest moments. She lives in Yogyakarta while I’m here in Jakarta, so we rarely meet, not even once a year. We can almost not speak to each other for months and feel no lose at all. Reason why she’s different from the kind of friends I’ve told above, she’s the living prove that our connection has no matter with distance or busyness. And Laily is that kind of friend who match any criteria of true friend that I could ask for.
